The Hotel Ivanhoe Rome is incredibly easy to find and thanks to our great location not far from Termini central train station we wouldn't recommend you waste money on a taxi, as the one way system in Rome means you'd spend more time weaving the back lanes than if you walked.
First of all, we'd recommend printing out the map to help you on your way.
Whether you're flying into Rome or coming by train, either way you'll find yourself at Termini Station. From here you can either walk or take the metro one stop on the blue line to Cavour (direction Laurentina).

Walk down Via Cavour, the main road on the south-west side of the station, and keep to the right. When you reach Piazza Esquilino (opposite the magnificent Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral) take a right and cross the Piazza. You'll see the Druid's Rock Irish Pub on your right as you pass. Turn left at the bottom of the Piazza onto Via Urbana and walk for about five minutes. You'll see the yellow sign of the Hotel Ivanhoe Rome (it looks a bit like 'Juanhoe') on your right hand side.
Take metro Line B (the blue line) one stop to Cavour (direction Laurentina). Come up out of the station by the only exit available (there's no lift). Turn left at the exit and cross over Via Cavour by the pedestrian crossing. (Note: drivers do not stop at pedestrian crossings in Rome, you have to step out and hold your nerve!). Go down the steps as if you were approaching the other side of the metro station. At the bottom of the steps turn right up Via Urbana, and you'll see our lovely yellow sign on your left.
